Mineral Wool Fire Safing is designed to provide enhanced fire protection in perimeter fire containment systems, floor and wall penetrations, construction joints, and other firestopping applications. Mineral Wool FireSop Safing is non-combustible, moisture-resistant, non-corrosive, non-deteriorating, mildew-resistant and vermin-resistant.  Mineral Wool FireStop Safing is primarily used as a backing material for Firestop caulks and sealants. The 4" Mineral Wool Safing can be cut or ripped by hand and stuffed into wall, floor, and ceiling penetrations prior to firestop caulking being installed. Thermafiber Safing is non-combustible and rated up to 1200°F. This Thermafiber/Roxul safing product is sold in boxes of 3 panels which are 4" thick and have panel dimensions of 24" x 48".
